Blogging experience

Hi, I am Andrea. This is my blog. Welcome to see. I will introduce my blog to you. Do you see the title? Yes, my blog name is “The World”. That means all about things of me. Actually, I hope the blog is substantial. So, I try to do it better.
At first, let me introduce my blog’s layout of printed page. I like simple and clear. So my blog is not has too much pictures. I choose the blog style is “Minima Black”. This is a black background with the white words. It’s comfortable to see.
At the right-hand place, you can see many hyperlinks. On the top, this is my group members’ blog. You also can visit them. On the second, the link is about web search, news web, and my school’s website. On the third, this is online dictionary. If you do not understand some words, or want to translate some sentence, you can click the link. On the fourth, this is ESL/EFL resource. This is education about ESL and EFL. On the last two, there are the blog’s previous post and archives. You can use the link to review the oldest post.
Next, I will introduce my posts. There are 14 posts in my blog. Every post has own topic. Our teacher wants us to put into practice what has been learned.
In the first class, our teacher teaches us to get a blog and write it in English. At the first post, we must write introduce. So, I write it and I put a picture on there. I took this picture last year. That is about me and some classmates go to the beach.
Then, you can see the second topic, “Online dictionary”. It is include three ways of dictionary. There are English-Chinese dictionary, English-English dictionary and Chinese-English dictionary.
The third topic is “ESL/EFL Website”. I find the five website. That is I feel good. It is easy to see and learn. The website content is substantial.
The fourth topic is “Weblog”. All these questions are our teacher asks us and want us to answer.
The fifth topic is “News Summary”. I read the news and write my thinking of summary. I find some vocabulary that we feel difficult in this news. Then I look up the dictionary to find those vocabularies’s meaning.
The sixth topic is “Multimedia treasure hunt”. I find the movie, “Devil wears Prada”. I do this job was hard. I must listening the movie and write down the script in my blog. It really spent me a few time. Under the movie, the song is “How Deep Is Your Love”. This song is singing by “Take that”. It is very pretty. Under the song, that is its lyrics.
The seventh topic is “Research method an essay summary”. Our teacher wants us to read news and write 5 sentences about this news. This topic is about another class, “Research method”.
Then, the last 7 topic is all about our blog’s review. “Reviewing Websites”, that is about three websites that I linked. We must write down the good point and bad point about this websites. “Blog Reflection”, that is examines our own blog, and find out the good point and bad point that we think. “English Chat”, that is about me and my group members’ chatting. In the class, we must use MSN to chatting to each other by English. That is a fresh experience. Our seat is neighboring, but we must use the language that we don’t acquaint to talk to each other. That is a very strange feeling. Anyway, it is interesting to make a blog. Maybe I do it isn’t good. But I hope this blog will be better more and more.

chatting experience

Actually, I do not have too much experience to chat with my friend with English. It is about four or five years ago, I knew some people in the internet chat room. In the internet, there are all kinds of people. Sometimes, I will know Cantonese, Mainland Chinese, overseas Chinese, or foreigners. I love to talk to them. It is interesting to talk to them that I will get more information by them. But most overseas Chinese, they live in foreign country. And they can’t use Chinese, but they understand Chinese. So, when we talked to each other. They always talk to me by English, and I always talk to them by Chinese. (At that time, my English is not good, so I do not want to try to use English talk to them.) Sometimes they used the vocabulary which I do not know. I will be confused, but I will find dictionary to know it, or I will ask my friend what the vocabulary’s meaning. Then I will type the Chinese meaning to check is it that they want to say. We always use this mode to chatting. It is seems strange and funny. But this way was help me to know much friend in chat room, and we enjoy our chatting. Certainly, I will also meet some foreigners. They do not understand Chinese. So, I must talk to them by English. But the word that I know is too few. So our communicate have a little difficult. We must to guess the words that each other means to say. Usually our chatting time is soon, we can't chat of satisfy. That make me feel keenly regret. This is my first chatting experience with English. This experience let me interesting in English. And I know English is important. English is important in the modern society. Everywhere will be use English. So I join the Department of Applied English. I think it will give me the best environment to study English. Learning English will also bring me advantage. Like making friend with foreigner, translating the famous movie continuity, get more information; find a new work, traveling in foreign country, study in foreign country, or when we move to foreign country, we can use English to communicate. Anyway, I hope that my English will be better. Maybe I could talk to foreigners in English fluently in the future. That is I hope so.
